A Day At The Castle Park

Nearby we have a great park. A castle, filled with secret passages, knights in trees, trolls, and of course, dragons. A throne room is immediatly to the left of the main entrance, where we sat the kids for a picture. It is a wonderful place. Everywhere you look there is something. A tower that you get to by crossing an uneven bridge, a bell to ring, a painted mural. So much to see, so much to do. It is a great treat for the kids to go there, so I am thankful we live close enough to do it a lot. The kids, and daddy, had a blast running and hiding and exploring. Alta and I mainly watched from the sidelines, but we did explore a bit.

Of course, I can't share the excitement of the day without sharing why the park was built. Jeremy "Boo" Rachman was a boy from the area who died in 93 from a car accident. He was a fan of the game Dungeons & Dragons, so his father built the park in memorial for him.

It is still winter, right?

Ahhh. Warm, sunny spring. I mean, winter. It is 60 degrees today. Nice. So, we are at mom's house, where Landon has spent the last two days with his cousins.

Speaking of Landon, I picked him up yesterday (and brought him back) for his very first playdate. He went to his best friend's house for 2 hours and had a blast. He didn't even give me a hug/kiss good bye.

I am ashamed. But I shouldn't be.

I am getting ready to take my kids to visit my mom, and the boys are staying the night. Why? Well, I asked, for the first time ever, if she would keep them so I could have some peace and quiet...okay, maybe not, but just have Ali, who is in the midst of teething on top of her reflux and hasn't napped or quit screaming today. I just need some help, and my mom if going to help. Even though the boys are not bad, I feel I need to spend some time snuggling my baby for the evening and night, and hopefully tomorrow, she will be herself and only cry 50% of the day.

I am ashamed to admit that I need help. But need it, I do. My nerves are wrecked. I am tired, and so is my baby. And that means the boys aren't getting the attention they need today, so they will spend the night with their mawmaw and get all kinds of goodies and attention from her. And tomorrow, I will pick them up and hope it is better than today.

Random Thoughts

Ahhhh. Snow. Snow? Fun. I need milk, so when Ali wakes up, I guess we will get dressed and head out. Landon's Valentine's Day party is tomorrow, so I hope they don't cancel school.

My mom has a venous stasis ulcer on her leg. That means she has a hole in her leg 3 inches deep and 2 cm around. We have been fighting it for almost a year now, but it is finally healing. She started a wound vac last Wednesday and we are hopeful.

I have laundry to do. Still no dryer. Hang dry it is. The diapers need to be stuffed and put away so I can use their drying rack.

I gave into peer pressure and jumped on the "Hunger Games" bandwagon. I read the first two books in 4 days. I love them. Must get the new one today.

My dad got us some goat's milk soap from Indigo Wild, it's called a Zum Bar. So far I like it. After I use it a few more times, I will give a review.

I also bought a nice used Baby Bullet. Peer pressure again.

I am a bad blogger!

Sorry for not updating as much as I would like. We are busy. Our dryer went out, so I have been washing at my mom's. We bought a new set, but Sam doesn't want to hook it up until we move in the nest couple weeks.

We are also packing and sorting and throwing away and donating. Moving is a great time to organize.
