Happy 11 Months Ali!

Ali is 11 months old today!

She is walking, or at least taking a good 6 steps on her own. She can say "hiiiiiiii!!!!" "pup" "mama" "dada" "leelee (lily)" a few more that I can't think of on the top of my head.

She is growing so fast and getting such a beautiful personality. I love her very much!

I have a hard time believing that she was this little only 11 months ago.
Beautiful blue eyes

"Look! I can stand alone!"

She was yelling at her brothers and cousins, who were swimming in the kiddie pool.

Sorry about that...

I am very sorry my blog has taken a back burner lately. I am very busy with the end of school for Landon, packing (we move in 3 weeks!), taking care of my mom, and the main reason, my phone is broken, and that is how I blog 99% of the time. I should be getting it back up and running Wednesday.

Well, last Tuesday, Landon graduated Kindergarten. How big he is! The class was so very cute singing and dancing and praising God. Then his teacher read their favorite book of the year. "I'll Love You Forever" It took all I had to not bawl like a baby when the class recited "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living my baby, you'll be." If you have ever read that book, you know at the end, the tables turn and the child is holding his mother as well as a his new baby. I am in that place right now. I believe I learned in school it is the "sandwich generation" you take care of your parents and your own family. Typically, this happens to 35-45, not 25. Ah, well, the joys of your mother having you later and you having your own kids early.

Here are a few pictures of him on his big night.

New family member!

Nope, this blog won't be "Fourty Little Piggies" anytime soon... but we did add another four legged friend to our family. We have adopted a beautiful Boxer puppy named Bella. She is a sweetheart.

A little late...

Easter was busy for us. Sam's family one day, town egg hunt, and my family. Here are a few pictures.
Again, I apologize for the sideways pictures. My phone does what it wants.

Happy 10 Months, Toot!

Alta is 10 months today! She is getting so very big. She weighs about 18 pounds, 26 inches long, and a bundle of energy.

Things she can do: pull to stand, and today, a few minutes ago she stood on her own with nothing to help her. She stands unassissted. Giggles a lot now. Cruises. Shakes her head and says nooooooo!!! Says dada, mama, kitty, do (dog), bye. She also has her two bottom teeth in.

She is getting so very big!

Unfortunately, she is suffering from her first bad cold, and she's cutting her top two teeth. Poor girl.

Our Love Story

7 years ago, right before my high school graduation, I decided to rekindle my friendship with my best friend from grade school. I had moved after 8th grade about 30 minutes away. We started hanging out again and the "spot" back then was Hardee's parking lot. We stopped in to see who all was there and some of her friends were there, so we stopped and talked a bit. She introduced me to several new people, and there were several old friends there as well. One of the new people happened to be Sam.

I thought he was cute, and he got in my friend's car and we drove around listening to music and talking. I liked him, but I had a boyfriend. Still, we started hanging out and became friends. I realized I really liked him, so I broke up with my boyfriend, and that night, or the night after, Sam and I were talking and he asked if I liked him. Shyly, I told him yes. I thought he would ask me out, but nope. Then we hung out the night before his birthday all the way until midnight, and I was the first person to tell him happy birthday on his 19th birthday. But still we weren't official.

On June 7, I went on a trip with my high school band. On the bus ride, we talked on the phone. I could tell you the exact place were the bus was, when, he said, "I hate to be all grade school and all. But will you be my girlfriend?" I said yes. When I was really thinking, it's about time. Haha.

Fast forward 5 months, and we found out I was pregnant with Landon. Wow. Totally unexpected. He was already planning to give me a promise ring, and we were already talking marriage, so he gave me a promise ring for Christmas. An engagement ring the week before Valentine's Day, and we were married 2 days before I turned 19.

Landon was born that August. Parker followed. 27 months later, then Ali came 2 months shy of 5 years after Landon.

I can honestly say, Sam is my best friend, he is a great man, a great provider, a great partner, and the best daddy I could have dreamed for, for my children. The odds were very much against us. But we have beaten them, and continue to beat them every single day. I love him more each day, and I can not imagine life without him.
